With the gardens in full bloom at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens, these two coworkers exchanges vows as the sun set behind the Bloemendaal House on a crisp autumn day in October.
The Story
We met at Richmond scavenger hunt. Both working for MWV we ended up talking more and more throughout the summer until one day we decided to go out after an event one night.
The Proposal
John proposed at the top of Mauna Kea during our trip to Hawaii. Then threw a snowball at me.
The Dress
I was walking to get lunch one day and it was the dress in the window at Lex’s of Carytown. Love at first sight and it fit perfectly. It was meant to be.
First Look
We saw each other before the wedding due to time. Not what I dreamed of but in the end the look on his face while I walked down the isle was all I ever wanted and it was perfect.
Favorite Moment
The ceremony! I was marrying my best friend and our friend was the most amazing officiant. Could not have wished for more.
Advice for future couples planning their wedding
Do not worry about all the little things. In the end, no one will know or care if something was missing.
