Allison + Andrew – A hot September night under the stars at The Valentine Museum in Richmond, VA

Things were heating up not only with the high fashion the ladies were wearing to the steamy first dance but also in true Virginia style, the autumn days brought a heatwave just in time for Allison and Andrew’s big day at The Valentine Museum in Richmond, VA. Their signature drinks kept everyone cool as we danced the night away under the tent in downtown RVA. 

The Story

Two of our very best friends invited us to a gathering at their house Labor Day weekend, after spending a little time together, the rest was history! Shout out to Paul and Gretchen for helping us start this incredible love story! We are so grateful for this life we have now.

The Dress

Originally being from California and living so far away from my mom I knew I needed to find the dress while she was in town. Two months after the proposal she was here, and we hit the ground running. We went to our last appointment of the day at Tiffany’s Bridal here in Richmond. Jennifer was my consultant, she helped me nail down my vision, stay in my budget and find my self-confidence. I knew I had found my dress when I wouldn’t take it off. I sat in it, staring at myself in the mirror, knowing it was perfect for my special day.

First Look

We did do a First Look and it was such an incredible moment. I had been so anxious all morning, the waiting was killing me! Seeing Andrew made all of my nerves and anxieties melt away.

 

Favorite Moment

I honestly couldn’t pick a favorite moment, besides marrying the love of my life of course!  The entire night meant so much to us, being surrounded by everyone we love was such an incredible experience. I wish we could do it all over again!

Advice for future couples planning their wedding

Ask for help! Everyone who loves you will be there for you throughout this process, don’t be afraid to lean on them when you get stressed or upset. It will happen, you’ll need a lot of hugs and wine to get you through!
