A lush fall color palette of burgundy and gray popped against the olive green fields at Bandit’s Ridge in Louisa, VA. With the horses grazing in the background, Chelsy and Bryan tied the knot by Louisa’s own Sheriff Fortune.
The Story
We met at Louisa Sheriff’s Office where my mom worked. One day I stopped by to visit her and while trying to go inside Bryan thought I was trying to break in and I had to tell him who I was so he wouldn’t drop kick me. My mom then introduced us and we start talking to each other a few months later.
The Proposal
We had just got home from doing a sneak peek of our daughter. While we were sitting on the couch Bryan told me he had something he wanted me to read. He handed me an envelope that had a letter and rings inside that belonged to his grandparents. I started crying and started reading the letter. The letter was from his grandmother that had just pasted away saying that she wanted to give Bryan the engagement ring so he could give it to the person he wanted to spend his life with. I then looked at him sobbing and said yes.
The Dress
My dress was a ivory/champagne color with lace and sequins all over. I found it at Bridal Elegance in Short Pump. I think I tried about 12 dresses on that day and when I put my dress on I just fell in love and started to cry because I knew it was meant for me.
First Look
We waited until the ceremony to see one another. I loved being able to see him a little tearful even though I was trying not to cry myself because of I didn’t want to mess up my makeup but it made me happy.
Favorite Moment
Seeing my dad for the first look and him crying when he saw me. I’ve never seen my dad cry before and it just made our bond even stronger.
